The Lewis-Palmer professional learning program has the overarching goal of improving teacher's ability to help all students learn.  Five professional learning "models" ranging from traditional training programs to independent and group studies allow for maximum flexibility and balance.

The goal of professional learning is to improve the ability of teachers to help all students learn, achieve, and grow.  According to research, teacher qualifications have a significant impact on student learning.

The five models included in the LPSD Professional Learning Program were created to provide teachers and administrators lots of flexibility in designing and participating in professional learning activities.
